Annual Furnace Maintenance
We perform the following tasks during this maintenance:
- Check all safety controls and wire connections
- Inspect burners
- Visually inspect heat exchanger (if possible)
- Clean flame sensor and check thermocouple
- Clean and check ignitor / spark electrode / pilot
- Check filters and replace as necessary
- Inspect venting system for leaks / slope / support / debris
- Check for adequate combustion air requirements
- Cycle furnace and motor ignition and flame
- Check and record manifold pressure in checklist
- Check temperature rise and adjust blower speed as required
- Perform CO test-circulating air / free air / vent & record
- Test fuel line for leaks at appliance
- Wipe down furnace
- Check and flush condensate drains / traps
