We perform the following tasks during this maintenance:

  • Check all safety controls and wire connections
  • Inspect burners
  • Visually inspect heat exchanger (if possible)
  • Clean flame sensor and check thermocouple
  • Clean and check ignitor / spark electrode / pilot
  • Check filters and replace as necessary
  • Inspect venting system for leaks / slope / support / debris
  • Check for adequate combustion air requirements
  • Cycle furnace and motor ignition and flame
  • Check and record manifold pressure in checklist
  • Check temperature rise and adjust blower speed as required
  • Perform CO test-circulating air / free air / vent & record
  • Test fuel line for leaks at appliance
  • Wipe down furnace
  • Check and flush condensate drains / traps
